Newton faulkner - digi-pack-ish

Since we are doing our project on Newton Faulkner, it only makes sense that we analyses a Newton Faulkner digi-pack, since we will be making our own in the near future. For starters. I’ll be looking on how the digi-pack is presented.

For starters, colours. Newton has focused on two colours  blue and white. These colours are matched regularly  and it is clear why. The colours give a cartoonish futuristic fusion which goes well with the colour scheme as it mimics typical robot colours, and the image on the front is surrounded by planets. The box also focuses on contrast as it uses a darker blue against the white. This contrast theme is also represented through the mirrored images on the cover.

There are a few anomalies (pun intended) on the box, ‘on purpose flaws’ if you will. Firstly the font is not even each letters range from large to small and it is not even in it linings. Another thing is the lack of punctuation. These flaws (which will be on purpose) represent this digi-pack, this could suggest that he is either a flawed person, which is often represented in his songs or just styled to mimic a simplistic look. On the inside of the digi-packs is a bunch of dual colour filtered images. These all appear to be photos, selfies and otherwise, of Newton himself. These photos give a more human approach. Bands and artists can often seem a bit plastic, not living everyone else’s lifestyle so they seem fake. I estimate these images have been included to make him seem more human, like everybody else.
Looking at a the cover in HD I noticed something…
The cover is paper and each bit model has been cut out and flipped, this is fairly original.  you can tell this ut theshadows and the scissors in the shot. Whist obiviously fake and probably don in photoshop, I like the concept. However I feel the colours are really boring. Hannah in our group likes them but I must disagree.
