Newton Faulker - Pulling Teeth

We have adopted a new song to work on. Newton Faulkners - uncomforably slow is a good song. It just isn't a music video song. We could not find a stable narrative within the song that could work in any way. We could work out a beginning and end, we just didn't have the middle.

But we had a lot of good points. Our ideas for shots editing and time-lapses were all still doable so we decided to half pick a new song to make a video for. Same artist. Different Song.

This song has more lyrics and a more upbeat tone, yet it still have that Newton Faulkner charm. The lyrics in the video give us much more freedom. Uncomfortably Slow, whilst good, offered very interpretive lyrics that quickly change in theme and tone which was hard to work around. This song is clean and clear, the lyrics fit around the theme of a conflicting relationship and we can work with this. This also fits around the same theme of our previous video so we can keep a lot of similar elements like settings and camera shots.
