Sam Smith - stay with me

During this video i noticed many things that i want to bring into our video.

Firstly. Sam is very comfortable inform of the camera, keeping eye contact and shying away in different parts of the song, it fit well. To have a comfortable performer is key. You don't often see shaky and nervous performers anywhere. This is because they cant be. Also if they are nervous, it skews  the message they are trying to portray. In this video Sam sings about how he is nervous but he uses subtle  gestures such as his walking speed, and movements and times where he looks away from the camera and back to it. These methods seem all together better than actually being shy and nervous.

One thing I noticed in the shots was the positioning of Sam. The director rarley, in the stiller shots, centralizes Sam. The shots are often skewed and tilted, this makes each shot seem unique in its own right.

This music video however has no meaning, relevance to, well, anything. Yeah he walks around and mopes a bit, then somehow ends up in a room similar to the white room in resident evil but with the cast of songs of praise. How music video has to have a required plot as well as performance. so overall we have to take only the technical aspects from this video.
