Selecting an artist

We have had a lot of ideas thrown around. Since we couldn't have a song with a music video already this made us limit our selves to albums we had heard.

This piece come from my favourite album (Adam here!) and this also happens to be my favourite track. the track is a mix of psychedelic, classic music (with violins and that) and dance. I liked this song as there are alot of interesting shots we could do. 

One shot I wanted to explore really fit this song from 2:32 to 2:47 was inspired by a shot from breaking bad.

When Jesse takes heroin his body appears to rise, he appears to float up leaving his room behind. I wanted to film a video based of of taking a party drug and it takes a quick turn. However Hannah and Melville were not fond of this music and also this was only one idea for a song. I could not come up with any other ideas for this song.

I also put forward the idea of Metromany a band that makes fantastic albums (especially Love Letters). Except their songs aren't really music video ready. The constant change in tone during songs mean that plots were incredibly hard to make a narrative. The fact there was only one singer and physical instruments made them a good contender. But the singer is very monotone so making him seem interesting in the music video would be like trying to get water out of a stone.

Another track we were going to do what (insert here) by the Black keys. Whilst a fantastic song the lyrics only took place during the first 45 seconds so that was a no go the artist we did choose though...
